| Desiccator |
A short glass jar fitted with an air-tight cover and containing a desiccating agent such as silica gel or calcium chloride, above which the material to be dried is supported on a perforated platform. |

A full set of genetic material, consisting of paired chromosomes, with one chromosome from each parental set. Most animal cells, except the gamete, have a diploid set of chromosomes. (cf. Haploid) |

A technique related to ISSR analysis that uses a single primer containing only the core motif of a minisatellite. |

Also known as microarray. A high throughput screening technique based on the hybridization between oligonucleotide probes and either DNA or mRNA carried out on miniaturized reaction surfaces. |
