A recognized division of a species, next in rank below subspecies; it is distinguishable by characteristics such as flower colour, leaf colour and size of mature plant. The term is considered to be synonymous with "cultivar". |
| Viability test |
A test on a sample of seeds from an accession that is designed to estimate the viability of the entire accession. |
